Job Description
In 2018, LDC initiated a comprehensive transformation of its back-office functions—including Accounting, Controlling, Reporting, Procurement, and Industry—centered around SAP S/4HANA. This global rollout continues through 2028, followed by ongoing improvement initiatives.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Process Owner Lead to oversee one or more end-to-end (E2E) finance processes, with a primary focus on:
- Controlling (G&A and Industrial Controlling): Additional scope may include:
- Accounting
- Integration with Consolidation & Reporting
This role is pivotal in supporting LDC’s Finance Transformation program by deploying a Global Core model through harmonized and standardized LDC Group processes, focusing on excellence and efficiency, from a system and organizational standpoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a BPO and guardian to guarantee the respect of Group-wide finance processes and practices
- Maintain core model documentation and supervise change delivery
- Support country-level implementations by providing expertise on the respective scope
- Challenge business requirements while balancing local needs with global CORE model
- Drive ad-hoc projects to create additional business value
- Champion innovation initiatives (e.g., analytics, automation, paperless workflows,..)
- Provide ongoing support to live countries, ensuring continuous improvement and user satisfaction
- Potentially manage a team, depending on experience and profile
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, FPSO colleagues, and DT&A teams
Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Deep understanding of core finance and accounting processes
- Ability to challenge and refine business requirements
- Self-driven with a collaborative mindset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (MM, FICO, PM, PP modules)
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Resilient under pressure and able to prioritize effectively
Language Requirements
- Fluent English (mandatory)
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally combining:
- Audit or consulting background in a top-tier firm
- Strong operational finance and accounting expertise
- Hands-on industrial controlling experience
- Active involvement in finance transformation projects (internal or external) ex: AMOA, Functional Business Lead, Process Owner
- Proven ability to work in project mode, from individual contributor to leadership roles
- Experience in international and multicultural environments
- Process design and IT tool implementation (interface experience is a plus)
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
