Job position pitch
We are seeking a skilled FinOps Expert to join the Performance and FinOps team in the Cloud Business Unit. The main mission is to optimize our cloud financial management and ensure cost efficiency across our cloud services. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between finance, engineering, and operations by implementing best practices for cloud cost management, budgeting, and forecasting. You will play a key role in promoting financial accountability and transparency within our cloud infrastructure.
- Support AXA FinOps Strategy evolution to increase level of FinOps Maturity across the Group by developing and implementing FinOps strategies, policies, and best practices to control cloud spending.

Understanding of product management and finance processes
- Collaborate with AXA GO Products on product management and product finance processes and recharging mechanisms
- Collaborate with GO Finance & Procurement onCloud Service Providers external and internal invoicing processes
- Support Budget/Forecast and Cost Optimization target setting processes
- Collaborate with product, engineering and architecture teams to identify cost optimizations while not endangering quality of service

Drive governance activities with AXA entities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs and usage across multiple cloud platforms to drive cost visibility and transparency of Cloud costs across AXA
- Provide regular reports and insights on cloud spend, trends, and anomalies to stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional communication to promote a culture of financial accountability
- Implement tools and automation for cost tracking, reporting, and optimization

Stay updated on cloud pricing models, new services, and industry best practices Understand opportunities and support definition for best practices for savings and governing this across the AXA Group including:
- Support review of FinOps Cost Optimization opportunities
- Maintain relationships with cloud service providers to ensure AXA is taking advantage of the best FinOps opportunities and contractual benefits

Support AXA entities to manage FinOps locally
- Engage Entities to drive and accelerate the implementation of the Cost Optimization opportunities
- Closely work with Cloud Service Provider FinOps specialist for daily activities including definition of Forecast, Budget Alerts, Anomaly Detector, and other tools.
- Manage FinOps community with a goal of supporting change management and culture change across the Group
Expected skills & experience
We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:
- Proven experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis.
- Experience in Cloud operations and/or financial management, familiar with cloud-based architectures, cloud provider tools, financial and systems for budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing structures.
- Experience in IT asset management or cost accounting is a plus
- Certification from Cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and/or FinOps Foundation
- Ability to influence topics and people to achieve results.
- Proven ability in conducting and presenting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management.
- Good experience of Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI required (extensive knowledge of Excel required)
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
- A degree in computer science, Financials, or equivalent professional experience
- English mandatory
