Teacher of History (Full time or Part time)
Kingsworth International School is seeking to appoint a secondary-level history teacher (KS3-5) to join our established Humanities Faculty starting August 2025. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
This role is to aid in developing and delivering our full history programme, including for classes at GCSE and A level. The successful candidate will be required to teach GCSE and A level history and so experience preparing students for GCSE, IGCSE and or A level History is essential.
There is flexibility on whether this contract would include further teaching of history at KS3-level and so candidates looking for either full or part time work are equally encouraged to apply.
This recruitment will be to join our existing humanities team and so the successful candidate should be able to coordinate effectively with our existing geography and economics teachers to deliver a joint humanities curriculum.
Kingsworth is a UK-curriculum school situated in a beautiful “hôtel particulier” in central Paris. Pupils follow IGCSE and A level curricula. Our school is unique in its small yet highly diverse classes – diverse both internationally and academically. At Kingsworth, we believe that all of our pupils are able to be successful, if given the right tools and motivation. We achieve this through a strong emphasis on formative assessment, classroom dialogue, and responsive teaching. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate expertise in these practices.
Our school is committed to maintaining workload at a manageable level. Our teachers are supported by the leadership to implement their own marking and feedback policy – as fits the needs of their students – and our practices are evidence-informed and their impact constantly evaluated. Moreover, our small staffing body means that each teacher is able to make their mark on their faculty’s curricula, pedagogy, and teaching and learning policies alongside experienced and dedicated colleagues.
If you are a passionate teacher of history and are inspired to work in our unique school then we encourage you to apply. Please send us your CV and cover letter to jobs@kingsworth.fr. Please include the contact details of two professional references. This should include the Head Teacher of your current school.
In accordance with our commitment to safeguarding, you will be required to apply for and hold an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Services) certificate if you have lived in the UK, a French criminal record check (“bulletin numéro 3”) and the equivalent certification(s) if you have lived abroad.
