SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST
The IT Contract Administrator assists the Head of Department, IT Governance and Executive Office. The main focus of his or her activities will be on IT related contract matters.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES
DUTY 1 - FOLLOWING CONTRACTS
Ensure the correct application of clauses and services provided by existing contracts by closely following all IS related contracts (to ensure that SLA, costs etc. are respected and if necessary to invoke penalties or request the appropriate reimbursements, etc.
DUTY 2 - DRAFT IT PROVISIONS OF CONTRACTS
For all new or proposed contract acts within the scope for the IS Directorate, ensure the conformity with IS Directorate rules, strategy, architecture and policies.
DUTY 3 - TECHNOLOGY WATCH:
Follow changes in technology and related services so as to make sure that contracts remain adapted to our needs, and propose new contracts (replacing or renewing existing ones) if necessary.
DUTY 4 - ASSISTANCE:
Assist with IS related negotiations by liaising with other departments within and outside pf IS (PCM etc.).
DUTY 5 – REPORTING
On costs and other issues associated with IS related contracts.
Any other duties as requested by the supervisor including but not limited to assistance with budgeting.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Education and qualification required:
At least 4 year's higher education diploma from a University or other specialized institute of recognized standing in one of the following domains:
Computing, Multimedia, Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Systems, Project Management, Law or other relevant subject
Experience required:
Minimum 3 years’ experience one or more fields related to computing, IT contracts, IT support and similar definite advantage.
Ten years’ experience in the area is required if the post holder does not have the required level of education.
Languages:
Fluent Spoken and Written English or French (a good knowledge of the other would be advantageous). Any other language is a bonus.
Abilities required:
Strong communication skills, both in written and oral form (public speaking and delivery of presentations).
Experience in working with computers including knowledge of oral presentations software, business intelligence and word processing software.
