Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Group Technology Services operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
Senior Scrum Master
Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Group Technology Services operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
You will join the Network Engineering tribe that is responsible for the day-to-day operation, evolution, monitoring and automation of the Euroclear group network environment. In addition, the team is also involved in Business and infrastructure project support and delivery. You will join the DC connectivity squad on charge of all CORE Lan Wan & Security perimeter.
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to lead and drive our IT network team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering IT network projects. You will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Guide the team in Agile best practices and help them achieve high performance
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined and prioritized
- Remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders
- Track and report on team progress and metrics
- Support the team in achieving their goals and meeting deadlines
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience in managing IT network projects
Nice to have:
- Degree in Computer Science or Certifications in Network Technologies, Information Systems, or other related disciplines
- Experience with network technologies and infrastructure.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
Soft skills:
- This position requires an individual with good communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and analytical / problem-solving skills
- The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of quality, while following existing processes and operational procedures
- The position requires the ability to work with members of other teams and staff to meet all necessary department and organizational goals
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Able to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly to understand what our engineers are delivering
- Fluency in English (French and/or Dutch would be a plus)
Additional Information:
- This position will involve regular trips to Paris or Brussels (at least once per quarter)
