On behalf of our team, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager. You would be working on-site in Toulouse, with a generous distribution of working hours into the hybrid model. If you are interested in exploring complex datasets to enhance Serco’s vision of Earth and to develop cutting-edge solutions.
You would be involved in leading and coordinating projects at the intersection of cloud computing and earth observation technologies. The position involves being passionate about managing complex technical initiatives, driving innovation, and delivering impactful solutions in environmental monitoring, geospatial intelligence and climate science.
- Lead end-to-end project management for cloud-based earth observation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and remote sensing experts.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage stakeholder communications and ensure timely reporting of progress and risks.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure deployment, data pipelines, and integration of EO data sources.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, clients, and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and sustainability standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of agile methodologies.
- Co-design innovative solutions with a focus on client needs
Successful Candidate
Proven experience (5+ years) in technical project management, and especially in cloud domain (an experience in Earth Observation domain is appreciated).- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (OVHcloud, AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Earth Observation data formats (e.g., GeoTIFF, NetCDF) from missions like Sentinel and Landsat and processing tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Provide regular updates, risk assessments, and milestone tracking.
- Knowledge of geospatial tools (e.g., QGIS, GDAL, Google Earth Engine).
- Knowledge of machine learning applications in Earth Observation.
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum).
- Background in environmental science, remote sensing, or geoinformatics.
- Fluent in English and French
