Job Title
Assoc. Manager, Engineering - Seating
Business Environment
Wherever you come from, you must have heard about Seating! It's a tangible aspect that all passengers experience while traveling on a plane. Over the last decade, the seating business has evolved from simply choosing a seat number (why can't I choose 13A?) and position (window, middle, aisle) to offering a suite of innovative services and options that make the travel experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
Seating selection has become the most profitable of airlines' ancillary services, generating billions in revenue for airlines in a rapidly evolving market. We are now at the forefront of a new trend where airlines are revolutionising the layout of planes, offering double beds, suites, and a variety of cutting-edge services, paving the way for yet another transformation in ancillary services.
As a result, the Seating area has experienced steady growth over the past several years and is one of the top contributors to Amadeus' priority projects such as Nevio and DMX. Our product, situated at the crossroads of Reservation, Inventory, and Departure Control Systems, is a high-focus area for airlines, being both mission-critical and a business enabler.
