We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef (Italian) to lead our culinary team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a strong background in cuisine, food service, and management. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
Duties
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team atmosphere.
- Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards in food handling.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food presentation, and best practices in food service.
- Collaborate with management to create special event menus and catering options tailored to client needs.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff to promote professional growth and development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques, with an emphasis on quality food preparation.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling (Manipulation des aliments).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in both English and French (Service en, Restauration).
