You will be responsible to develop electronic projects from needs expressed by clients, as well as implementing, coordinating, and performing local actions to provide technical and quality support to our sales teams and Customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The FAE electronic & innovation/technology watch team leader is responsible for:
1\. FAE ELECTRONIC DESIGN
A. In charge of developing electronic projects
- Drafting of a technical proposal
- Create a technical-commercial offer
- Develop projects following the established processes (research, development, POC, prototyping)
- Build and hand over the technical files to the client
- Organize kick-off meetings with the service office (CH or EU) and the sales in case of industrialization
- Support our sales to win complex electronic projects
- Participate in technical customer meetings
- Support our sales on exhibitions when needed
- In co-operation with ICAPE/CIPEM Purchasing (sourcing), find the best suitable suppliers for complex projects (sourcing a new factory is possible)
- Ensure project management from pre-sales support until technical approval of delivered prototypes (complex project)
- Assist to translate French/English technical documents and drawings from and to French/English language when needed.
- Seek information about new trend and technologies within electronic field and R&D strategies
- Chase and gather all information linked to Innovation and Technology watch (Electronic and others)
- Get innovation needs from each Cipem EVPs (included in their business plan)
- Ensure that CIPEM maintains a high technology knowledge level
- Help to measure the impact of new technology adoption
- Highlight new market opportunities, stay ahead of the competition
- Support the sourcing department in their research of new partners
- Publish quarterly a letter of the Innovation & Technology watch activity
- Participate in preparation and executing technical customer Webinars and Tech-days
- Participate in preparation and executing technical Internal education of our sales organization, to improve CIPEM sales general knowledge level
- Assist CIPEM Quality department to handle customer quality claims communication when needed
- Worldwide business trips to consider
- Electronics Engineering degree, major R&D electronics
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics
- Professionnal English, essential for working in an international environment
- Pack Office skills, CAD and simulation tools
- Capacity to analyze and synthesize data
- Capacity to build a technical offer from technical files
- Electronic design R&D (hardware, software): study of needs and feasibility, system study, architecture definition, preparation of the specifications, design, development, test, integration, validation
