Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Test Engineer to join our team in Paris, France. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in smartphone and smartwatch testing, with solid knowledge of 4G, 5G, and IMS technologies. This role requires hands-on field testing, log analysis, and issue management to ensure product performance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct smartphone and smartwatch field testing on live 4G/5G networks.
- Perform tests related to throughput, call performance, and handover.
- Validate smartphone features including GPS, Bluetooth, sensors, audio/video calling, SMS, and supplementary services.
- Identify, log, and track issues using tools such as Jira and Buganizer.
- Analyze logs using tools like QxDM, Shannon, and ELT.
- Prepare and share daily progress reports and actively discuss issues in meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Open to short-term travel (1–2 weeks) across European countries for field testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in smartphone and smartwatch testing.
- Strong knowledge of 4G, 5G-NSA, 5G-SA, and IMS technologies.
- Hands-on expertise in field testing and network validation.
- Good understanding of smartphone functionalities and related technologies.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Buganizer) and log analysis tools (QxDM, Shannon, ELT).
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to create clear reports and communicate effectively in meetings.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: 55,000.00€ - 60,000.00€ per year
