The Head of Commercial Legal Affairs will ;ead high-stakes contract negotiations with Malt’s strategic clients and vendors. Define and standardize the commercial contract framework, and ensure alignment with client compliance requirements. Drive automation and operational excellence in contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations for high-value or complex client and vendor contracts
- Own and evolve the commercial contract framework, including terms, templates, and fallback positions
- Ensure all client contracts align with compliance requirements (e.g. T&Cs, privacy, procurement)
- Partner with Legal Ops to implement contract automation and self-serve workflows
- Act as the legal-commercial interface for Sales, Key Account Management, and Partnerships teams
- Identify and mitigate contractual risk early in the sales cycle through standard processes
About you 🧑🚀
- Strong contract negotiation skills, especially with enterprise clients and large vendors
- Proven ability to simplify and standardize legal documents for business use
- Deep understanding of commercial law, SaaS/platform contracts, and procurement constraints
- Collaborative mindset and ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Ops, and Legal
- Experience with contract lifecycle management tools and legal automation
- Excellent communication in French and English, both written and verbal
