YOUR MISSIONS AT DANONE :
This internship will take place in Paris, in our superbe HQ, from July 2025. To thrive in your missions, you will be accompanied by Sarah LOCKWOOD, our Global Regenerative Agriculture Director.
You will be part of the Global regenerative agriculture Team, who is responsible for global Regenerative Agriculture initiatives to transform our sourcing models towards regenerative agriculture and enable continuous improvement on farm performance and sustainability. Through supporting this team you will be exposed to a wide and diverse range of agricultural sustainability topics within agronomy including animal and people welfare and the environment. Your main mission is to support the implementation of some of the Regenerative Agriculture initiatives under the supervision of the Regenerative Agriculture program Director and the Sustainability Project Manager.
Food systems need to be transformed to be fit for the future. People are increasingly conscious of the environmental and social impacts of their food choices. In parallel, new scientific studies are defining "sustainable diets" that can provide healthy and nutritious food to the growing world population while respecting environmental limits. In the fourth quarter of 2022, Danone submitted its 1.5C SBTI FLAG target and in January 2023, the company took a global commitment to align with the Global methane pledge and reduce by 30% its methane emissions from fresh milk used in its dairy products between 2020-2030. GHG monitoring, reporting and verification standards and processes are critical to be able to capture GHG emissions reductions. Alongside delivering on this critical climate agenda, Regenerative agriculture has a lead role to play in protecting and improving soil health, biodiversity, and water resources, while promoting animal welfare and supporting farming resilience and long-term profitability. It is a critical enabler to deliver on Danone Impact Journey. The Regenerative agriculture team is working in partnership with farmers and suppliers to transform our sourcing models towards regenerative agriculture and enable continuous improvement on sustainability.
So, what will be your key responsibilities?
- Support the teams in deploying and valorising Regenerative agriculture by collecting, analysing and reporting results and proofpoints from Danone projects (including CO2 footprint, Regenerative agriculture score, Animal welfare score, feed autonomy, economics, etc.)
- Support with identifying, reviewing and summarising scientific and technical litterature and case studies relevant to regenerative agriculture
- Support the team in facilitating an agriculture community within Danone, organizing webinars and drafting communication materials to valorise these projects internally and externally (e.g. Upskilling program, Regenerative agriculture knowledge center)
You are :
- Available from July for a duration of 6 months
- You have a 4 to 5 years study level from university, business or engineering school, in a field giving you relevant skills for the role (e.g. Agriculture or Agronomics)
- You have excellent communication skills
- Do you speak english ? We need someone who is fluent
- You have a team player attitude while being confident working autonomously in a complex work environment
- You are a fast learner, thriving in an environment where you can solve problems
- You are rigorous and you have strong synthesis and analytical skills
