As part of Global Markets and Technologies (GM&T), the Maritime activity connects a wide range of global markets to essential molecules across borders and oceans. Air Liquide Maritime is organized along four business units, namely Offshore Energies, Cryogenic Supply, Global Rare Gases and Global Helium, and is also supporting OCEOS, a joint Venture to offer CO2 shipping and barging services for CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) projects across Europe.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Planner will be part of the MCS team located in Paris, ensuring safe, timely ISO loading and inland transport operations, optimizing operations for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The Planner position is within the Maritime Cryogenic Supply (MCS) Business Unit. MCS connects customers to gas molecules across oceans in a sustainable way through global multimodal solutions. With teams based in France and in Malaysia and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, MCS is able to offer top quality service to its customers, which can be Air Liquide affiliates or end customers. Customers benefit from a one-stop shop offer and tailor-made solutions thanks to a strong molecule sourcing strategy, a large fleet of cryogenic ISO containers suitable for road, rail and sea, and reliable transport services from ocean freight to last-mile delivery, and from ex-works to door-to-door supply.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Planner are the following:
Plan the inland logistics operations according to customers needs and suppliers availability
Allocate the iso container fleet (including 3rd party ISO) to customers needs, as per regulations, and technical and geographical constraints
Plan and drive the weekly fillings and movement of iso containers in accordance with vessel departures and customer delivery time
Communicate and validate the planning with key stakeholders (sourcing plants, road carriers and storage depots )
Identify destination on ISO returning journey (to refill, to maintenance, to off-hire) and plan pickups with road carriers
Performance and cost control
Ensure a daily follow-up of the good execution of the planning and update the status of filling and/or logistic movements
Control costs and manage good receipts of inland suppliers on a weekly basis.
Report and communicate any deviations that impact the good execution of the planning, and HSEQ events
Identify corrective and preventive actions on process improvement and efficiencies opportunities from KPI and deviations follow-up
Manage road carriers partners operational relationships with the support of the Sourcing & Freight Director, and contribute to sourcing and maintenance/storage supplier performance assessments
Update ISO fleet stock as per ISO movement (status and depot at actual dates), and trace residual movements to/from maintenance and returning from customers and ensure assets stock management accuracy (status, location and residual molecule).
Be a key contributor in the deployment of HSEQ good practices and IMS
Contribute to deployment of safety and operational guidelines in ISO handling by employees, subcontractors, and customers
INTERACTIONS
External: sourcing plants, road carriers, maintenance and storage subcontractors, ISO rental and manufacturing companies.
Internal: Supply Chain manager, Logistic coordinator, Operations manager,, AL sourcing plants, HSEQ manager.

COMPETENCIES
Knowledge specific to the position
Engineer master degree.
Knowledge in cryogenic gas and equipment is a plus.
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal (French is a plus).
