The media relations manager, focused on brands PR, is pivotal in shaping and amplifying the voice of Opella’s iconic brands globally. Reporting to the Global Media Relations Lead, this role focuses on driving brand visibility, protecting brand reputation, and fostering meaningful connections with media and key stakeholders.
Main responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and execute PR strategies that elevate the visibility of Opella's most iconic brands across global markets.
  • Validate and oversee the local brands plans and releases
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Growth Hub and Communications, to align PR tactics with brand campaigns, ensuring consistency and impact.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for media inquiries, crafting compelling narratives and managing responses to uphold the integrity of our brands.
  • Be the point of contact of our Brands PR agency
  • Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with journalists in the OTC and VMS spaces.
  • Monitor the global media landscape to identify opportunities for brand storytelling and act swiftly on emerging trends relevant to Opella’s mission and values.
  • Measure and report on the impact of PR activities, using insights to refine strategies and enhance performance.
About you:
  • Proven experience in brands PR management roles
  • 10 years experience on a similar role
  • English native or fluent (French is a plus)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both media professionals and internal teams.
  • A strategic thinker who can take initiative, prioritize tasks, and deliver impactful results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable in monitoring tools and analytics, and able to assess how PR activities contribute to larger business objectives.
