About the job:
In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing the financial product flow consolidation process for both actuals and budget at global level, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. You will contribute to the monthly closings for all matters related to gross margin, inventory valuation, and elimination of upstream margin, in collaboration with the statutory consolidation team and the controlling team. Additionally, you will be involved in contributing to the continuous improvement process
Main responsibilities:
1. Financial Consolidation:
- Ensure the proper affiliates reporting in Polo (our internal margin tool) in terms of quality and deadlines for actual and budget processes: in direct control for identified affiliates perimeter and as support for Polo process controllers for other affiliates
- Participate to global internal margins reconciliation at Group level (actual and budget):
- Managerial allocation to the Businesses P&L
- Balance Sheet elimination
- Specific closing treatments such as Consolidation entries for sales loop, CTA, …
- Analyze the data reported by entities and post the necessary top entries (actual and budget)
- Prepare high level analysis on local and consolidated figures for Polo process (actual and budget)
- Analyze the global inventory variation at Group level, based on the managerial Group hierarchy
- Work closely with the Statutory Consolidation team and the Group Controlling team to ensure the consistency of the data and corresponding analyses
- Control the accuracy of unitary Standard costs reported by legal entities in term of legal value, consolidated value and upstream margin – for actual and budget process
- Preparation of analyses slide-deck (ex: Group net inventory variation by product, by legal entity, …)
- Participate in production of required mandatory documents
- Participate actively to the Group reporting process optimization adopting a continuous improvement spirit, being proactive in feedbacks and a creative force.
2. Projects:
- Develop a comprehensive system strategy for product flow consolidation and reporting
- Be a key interlocutor to all Group projects with impacts on Finance (acquisition, divestments, …)
- Propose and insure proper accounting treatments for inventory margins in case of acquisition, liquidation, mergers
- Be a key contributor for development & evolution in financial treatments and automation of process.
3. Business partner:
Liaise with multiple departments within Finance (Polo controllers, CFOs, statutory consolidation team, controlling team, manufacturing and supply chain team …)
Advise colleagues on products flow consolidation topics (accounting questions, Polo process…)
Prepare and animate trainings within Finance community
Be a support for Polo process team to unblock reporting situation through quick decision.
About you:
- Master degree in Finance or Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in financial consolidation, reporting, audit, and controlling functions.
- You are proficient in consolidation software such as SAP FC, TM1, and Power BI, and demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Your analytical prowess and synthesis abilities enable you to decipher complex financial data and offer valuable insights.
- You are autonomous, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering results within stringent deadlines.
- Your strong communication skills, coupled with a collaborative spirit, allow you to effectively network across various functions and levels within the organization.
- Fluent in both English and French, you are ideally experienced in FMCG/FMCH or similar industrial domains with inventory management challenges.
