Job Description
In this role, you’ll join a team developing a tech product designed to integrate AI features into our games. Within our production studios, you’ll work at the intersection of AI, design, and quality assurance teams—allowing you to bring your expertise in prompt engineering and AI to create unique gaming experiences.
As a Prompt Engineer (M/W/NB), your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the scoping and design of AI-driven game features;
- Ensuring the technology is accessible and usable by different departments;
- Guaranteeing prompt content consistency across environments by testing how changes impact performance (error correction, divergence detection, rewording and clarification), while aiming to optimize latency and cost;
- Helping define and promote best practices for prompt engineering and supporting teams in implementing them;
- Contributing to the creation of both manual and automated test scenarios in collaboration with QA and AI teams;
- Analyzing bugs and feedback, identifying those related to prompt content, and suggesting improvements;
- Helping identify and test new machine learning models, as well as designing tools to support their use;
- Staying up to date on the latest in prompt engineering and AI research.
Qualifications
- Passionate about video games, with at least one prior experience in a tech company;
- Proven experience designing prompts for various tasks and across multiple providers. You’re familiar with concepts like agents and function calling, reasoning strategies, chain/tree of thought approaches, zero-shot & few-shot learning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG);
- Solid understanding of several language models (GPT-4, Gemini, Claude, Qwen, SentenceBERT, Llama, Mistral, etc.) and their key differences;
- Fluent in both English, written and spoken (French is a plus). You are also known for your strong writing skills;
- Strong listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to translate user needs into clear specifications;
- Capable of adapting your analysis and communication style to reach a wide range of stakeholders;
- Independent and curious by nature.
Bonus points for:
- Programming skills (Python, C#, etc.) and experience working with AI APIs;
- Experience in narrative content creation (dialogue, quests, world-building) and/or role-playing games;
- A good understanding of video game design principles.
