Impact of a Sales Operations Specialist

As a Sales Operations Specialist at Platform.sh, you play a vital role in driving operational efficiency and supporting revenue growth across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, you work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success to streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, and improve system workflows. Your work ensures that the revenue engine runs smoothly—from lead routing to billing reconciliation.

You thrive in detail-heavy environments and bring structure to ambiguity. Whether reconciling sales data across systems or supporting internal users with Salesforce processes, your precision and analytical mindset help remove bottlenecks and uncover opportunities to scale.

Beyond day-to-day execution, you actively contribute to broader GTM initiatives, such as tool rollouts, data migrations, and forecasting support. Your ownership mindset, collaboration skills, and commitment to process excellence make you a critical player in our continued growth.

What to expect

Core Operations: Ensure the smooth execution of daily Sales Operations tasks—including Salesforce data management, quote and order workflows, approvals, and reporting accuracy.

Project Support: Contribute to key GTM initiatives like territory design, system automations, and sales tool implementations. Support cross-functional projects that improve quote-to-cash workflows.

Reporting & Insights: Build and maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports to provide visibility into sales performance, pipeline health, and operational bottlenecks.

System Enablement: Serve as a go-to resource for Salesforce-related questions. Troubleshoot issues, enforce process compliance, and support users across multiple teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Marketing to align operations with business goals. Ensure timely and accurate handoffs across departments.

Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance data integrity, automate workflows, and support scalability across the GTM engine.

Documentation & Training: Contribute to the documentation of key sales processes, and help onboard and train internal teams on systems and best practices.

What you bring

Sales Operations Experience: at least 2 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Deal Desk within a B2B SaaS environment.

Technical Fluency: Strong command of Salesforce; additional experience with tools like Ironclad, Salesloft, or ZoomInfo is a plus.

Data-Driven Mindset: Analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

Precision & Organization: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, policy compliance, and quality control.

Process-Oriented: Deep understanding of quote-to-cash workflows, including approvals, pricing, order entry, and billing.

Collaboration & Agility: Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, remote, and global environment. Adaptable to change and skilled in asynchronous communication.

Initiative: Self-starter who takes ownership, prioritizes effectively, and drives continuous improvement across tools and processes.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
