As a vital member of the Baremetal Squad and member of the Infrastructure/SRE team at InstaDeep, you will work alongside a tight-knit team of experienced SRE, reporting directly to the Lead SRE - Baremetal. Your primary responsibility will involve managing the deployment and maintenance of our production systems and be responsible for ensuring our services reliability and consistent performances. You will also play a key role in enhancing observability and incident management, with freedom to bring forward proposals, and the ability to operate independently, with substantial experience in production environments.

- Network: Fortigate, Cumulus Linux, VxLAN over BGP eVPN, RoCE (nvidia network-operator), Calico, LibreNMS, Netbox
- System: Kubernetes, Canonical MaaS, Rancher, GPU infrastructure, Ubuntu, Ceph and Rook, Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Loki
Responsibilities
- Participate to the architecture design of the infrastructure
- Daily automation of our deployment / configuration tasks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Netbox.
- Gitops-ing the network configuration.
- Identify and resolve complex technical problems related to Linux systems and distributed network systems.
- Monitor and assess system and network performance, implementing optimizations as needed using performance and benchmarking tools.
- Collaborate with partners on support tickets related to maintenance and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Required Qualifications
- MSc degree in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline.
- 5+ years experience in the technology industry (NOC, SRE, NetOps or Sys Admin).
- Hands-on DataCenter experience and knowledge about DataCenter Operations.
- Experienced in managing production environments
- English professional working proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Experienced with UNIX/Linux or similar operating systems.
- Experienced with VxLAN over BGP eVPN
- Experienced with configuration and automation management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Experienced with SCM tools such as Git.
- Comfortable with Kubernetes and containerized architectures.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Eligibility to work in France or the UK.
Preferred - optional qualifications
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware or OpenStack.
- Knowledge about Nvidia technologies and GPU workloads.
- Familiarity with security best practices and Network services such as routers, firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems.
