MAIN MISSIONS:
The Steward is responsible for managing and keeping all dishwashing equipment in perfect working condition, including but not limited to dishwashing stations, handwashing sinks, and other kitchen cleaning equipment. He/She ensures waste is disposed of in compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. He/She ensures that cleaning products are stored in designated storage areas, in line with company standards. He/She is responsible for cleaning the floors and work surfaces in the kitchen areas according to the instructions of the Executive Chef and his/her delegates, and in compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
SPECIFIC MISSIONS:
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all kitchen equipment to ensure that only clean equipment is available for use, including but not limited to dishwashing stations and other cleaning equipment.
Organizes cleaning using detergents, in line with company safety rules, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations regarding cleaning and storage of cleaning products.
Ensures the handwashing station is always in impeccable condition.
Cleans and disinfects all kitchen areas, including but not limited to tables, work surfaces, cutlery, dishes, and kitchen utensils, to guarantee impeccable hygiene and safety standards.
Cleans and disinfects cafeteria areas.
Ensures proper organization and storage of all kitchen utensils.
Responsible for cleaning all dishwashing equipment, such as dishwashing machines, by removing waste, cleaning the inside of the machine, and reporting any malfunction to the Executive Chef or his/her delegates.
Ensures the use of the three-basin cleaning process for dishwashing, checking that the water temperature and detergent concentration comply with safety standards.
Scrapes all dishes and kitchen utensils until all waste is removed.
Inspects all dishes, cutlery, glasses, and kitchen utensils after cleaning to ensure they are spotless; otherwise, repeats the washing process until they meet the expected standard.
Handles waste disposal in bins, in compliance with current regulations and food hygiene and safety standards.
Stores all dishes, glasses, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and any other related items in the designated storage areas.

Maintains confidentiality regarding company equipment and data.
Follows all company and/or department procedures.
Ensures proper uniform, name badge, professional appearance, and use of personal protective equipment.

Assists colleagues and ensures they understand their tasks.
Communicates service needs or incidents with colleagues discreetly and away from guest areas.

Ensures completion of mandatory internal training and Marriott International virtual training.
