Job Description:
In the frame of Flight & Integration Tests Means Development department, “software services” (1VMDG) acts as an independent enabler for overall software topics. These include effective tool-implementation, expertise - including UX/UI referent, operational support (L3), backbone & architecture, POC, and Challenge.
Out of this, 1VMDG stands as a neutral software center of excellence, and a greenhouse for the whole 1V digital community. This includes ways of working, from test-driven development to actual industrial devops. Here at Airbus, we develop applications for one year and maintain it for 15 to 19 years. Hence having design for maintainability focus.
In 2024, 1VMDG grew in terms of expertise, providing technical audits, challenging supplier or business statements, building key department backbone solutions, and in scope. 1VMDG now includes Software Hosting solution named AFTER, and also faces end-user-tools stakeholders - mainly from testers community in a normalization and industrialization initiative. This growth brought 1VMDG from a pure-internals status, to an extended scope thanks to traditional partners (Airbus India, Cap Gemini, Tata, SII…). Another extension was achieved through the creation of the SWAG authority (SoftWare Architecture Gate), led by 1VMDG HO, aiming at normalizing and officializing technologies and projects up to department quality & strategy standards.
As a consequence, 1VMDG is now looking for building redundancies within the team. One of these is about front-end topics, though not exclusively. As a confirmed front-end developer, you will join a team of 13 very skilled and dutiful members. Your mission is to:
