What you’ll be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Motor Head for France
- Define the Motor Strategy in France in agreement with the Head of Casualty, ENV & Motor France.
- Steering the profitable Growth of the French Portfolio.
- Manage the French Motor Uwing team.
- Referral point and representative for the France
- Develop strong relationships with Brokers/Clients
- Providing regular feedback in terms of pricing, reserving, finance update to the French Casualty Head
Regional Product Lead
- Define the BU Motor Strategy at regional level.
- Support the BU Product Head in steering the Motor Underwriting notably by using portfolio management tools and all necessary MI/Data analytics
- Drive in accordance with the BU Product Head, the achievement of the “deliberate portfolio construction” – or segmentation.
- Support the BU Product Head in doing the planning and monitoring the development of the Motor Product versus Plan.
- Drive the Operational Plan for Motor defined with the BU Head.
- Drive the Transformation for more efficiency for the Motor Product.
- Take the ownership of the data quality figures.
- Interact on a regular basis with Reserving, Pricing, Finance, Claims & consulting team to insure the profitability growth of the Product.
- Manage & collaborate with the Motor heads in the BU & the Technical referral Lead
- Drive the innovation for the Motor product
- Support the BU Product Head of in producing the QBR documents.
- Participate in any “ad hoc” project with Global to represent the Motor Product,
- Supporting the BU Product Head by contributing with Global to the Motor strategy, e.g development of BU specific guidelines, providing input in terms of Global guidelines incl. updates, Reinsurance topics follow up.
- Support GCUO in the negotiations with Treaty.
- Support any relationships with brokers where relevant
You will report to the HEAD OF CASUALTY, ENVIRONMENT & Motor for France
What you will BRING
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Technical Skills & Competencies :
- Fluent in English and French mandatory
- At least 7-10 years’ experience working internationally for an insurance company or in financial services, preferably in the areas of Distribution or Business development
- Deep knowledge of insurance business and processes
- Experience in project/program management
- Experience in business case building and bid (RFP) management
- Experience managing multi-cultural and high-performance teams
- Experience with underwriting preferable
- Experience building B2B2-C/-E/-B solutions preferable
Personal skills & capabilities :
- Ability to drive transformation and to lead projects while being customer centric.
- Strong communications skills, able to present complex ideas clearly and concisely, and able to persuade and obtain the buy-in of a diverse and multicultural audience.
- Team player, who can break the silos with tact and diplomacy and is able to ask for help and share knowledge. Strong capacity to motivate teams and solve team members conflicts
- Ability to interact and negotiate at Executive Level of the organization
- Good interpersonal relationship influencing / negotiation skills
- Results, customer and service-oriented mindset
- Capability to unite and manage teams in distant, multi-cultural and multi-language environments
- Strong sense of organization and multi-layer collaboration
- Enjoys multi-cultural environments, diversity and available to travel frequently if needed
