Main responsibilities:

• Lead process development and scale-up to support clinical trials, launch and commercial manufacturing of small molecule drug substances.
• Ensure scientific excellence and regulatory compliance in data generation, submissions, and lifecycle activities.
• Drive innovation and second-generation process development to enhance performance, sustainability, and supply continuity.
• Provide technical support to commercial manufacturing and ensure robustness in troubleshooting and strategic investments.
• Oversee technology transfers from R&D and external partners to industrial production sites.
• Manage resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic objectives and operational execution.
• Advance talent development and a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the development organization.
• Represent MSAT in site governance and global networks.

About you

• PhD or master's degree in chemical engineering, organic chemistry or related scientific field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical process development or MSAT.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams and cross-functional projects.
• Expertise in chemical process development, scale-up, technology transfer and manufacturing support.
• Solid understanding of small molecule manufacturing operations, GMP, CMC regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
• Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to drive innovation and promote a culture of scientific curiosity and continuous improvement.
• Track record of transformational leadership in matrixed organizations
• Experience with flow chemistry methodology
• English: Fluent
• French: Proficiency is a plus
