Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Key Account Manager – Industrial to join our sales team. This is an exciting opportunity within an innovative and growing organization.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to drive growth within the pulp & paper, cooling water, and wastewater sectors in Europe. This role will play a critical part in expanding LuminUltra’s access to these industrial markets through the creation and implementation of innovative sales strategies to increase market share. This position offers a base salary range of €55,000 to €75,000 depending on experience.
Reporting to the Industrial & Commercial Vertical Market Sales Leader, the Key Account Manager will leverage their technical expertise and sales acumen to build strong relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver value-driven microbial control solutions (such as ATP and qPCR products and services) to our customers.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, ambitious, and detail-oriented individual that creates and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders. In this role, the Key Account Manager will have key responsibilities, such as:
- Execute on the sales strategy to grow market share in the Industrial & Commercial market; specifically within the pulp & paper, cooling water, and wastewater sectors in Europe.
- Develop the end-to-end sales approach to pursue new key accounts and major corporate clients to increase client base.
- Identify, attract, and onboard new channel partners to service identified key territories and focused applications.
- Manage Key Accounts revenue and relationships through value-added initiatives to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
- Effectively manage a sales pipeline through our CRM.
- Attend and participate in industry conferences and trade shows.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, marketing, and product development to meet customer needs.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities for contribution to strategic planning in close collaboration with the Vertical Market Sales Lead – Industrial & Commercial.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Moderate overnight travel required for this role, between 30-50% of the time.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical sales experience in pulp & paper, water treatment, or wastewater markets or a related industry.
- Bachelors degree or diploma in science, engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education.
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of the industrial sector.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills with the ability effectively negotiate with and influence decision-makers.
- Experience delivering technical product presentations and solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to travel locally and/or internationally, as needed, to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Multi-lingual with German, a strong preference.
- Located in Germany or France would be an asset.
