L.E.K. has one office in France (Paris) from which we serve our clients in France and across the Western Europe region. Our clients range from large and mid-sized corporates to financial investors and their portfolio companies. In addition to supporting our client base, our Paris office contributes to L.E.K.’s global network by providing local expertise, financial insight, and analytical support.
The Financial Accountant – France (based in Paris) is responsible for France’s management accounts in IFRS, local statutory financial statements in French GAAPs and corporate tax reporting requirements.
Reporting to the Finance Manager – France and Spain, the successful candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting, external audit, and tax reporting, with solid knowledge of French GAAP and IFRS. Proven experience using SAP and applying French and IFRS accounting standards in practice is essential, along with a background in a multicultural, international environment. The ability to work confidently in English, both written and spoken, is required.

Accounting / Reporting
- Ensures accurate and timely recording of business transactions in the general ledger, in line with Group policies and French regulations.
- Delivers monthly management accounts in collaboration with the Shared Service Center in Delhi.
- Presents monthly management accounts to Group/Europe Finance, including payroll, P&L and balance sheet commentary.
- Reviews and reconciles balance sheet entries monthly and ensures alignment between management and statutory accounts.
- Coordinates with external chartered accountant to complete statutory accounts and finalize the CIT return.
- Maintains and updates the fixed asset register.
- Maintains the fixed asset register.
- Drives improvements in the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of France’s accounting and reporting processes, with a strong emphasis on documenting procedures to support knowledge sharing, backup, and the adoption of best practices.
Taxes (Excl. VAT)
- Coordinates with external chartered accountant to ensure timely and compliant tax filings for L.E.K. France.
Audits
- Assists the Finance Manager with Group external audit requirements.
- Leads the legal audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for legal auditors, coordinating audit activities, preparing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards.
Partner Remuneration
- Conducts monthly analysis of Partner accounts.
- Coordinates with Group Accounting to prepare journal entries at year-end.
Payroll
- Collaborates with the payroll team to review monthly payroll data, ensuring accuracy for financial validation and accounting analysis.
- Coordinates with the payroll team and HR on the profit-sharing process, including data validation and accounting treatment.
Business Support / Sales Process
- Produces weekly Salesforce reports for Paris Partners.
- Actively improves the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of Salesforce data.
Budget
- Leads preparation and periodic updates of the local budget.
Minimum requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with solid knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP.
- Experience working within the finance function of a complex or international organisation, ideally in professional services.
- Proficient in SAP and the Microsoft Office suite; experience with SAP Business ByDesign is a plus.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and focus.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Strong motivation to collaborate with Group and Europe Finance teams to drive continuous improvement in finance processes.
- Regular presence is required in the Paris office each week, with flexibility on the number of days.
Qualifications
- Full DSCG qualification completed, with 2 to 4 years’ experience in an accounting / audit firm.
- University degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing study and continuous professional development.
