THE ROLE
As part of the Corporate Applications team, the application manager is responsible for managing solutions related to SAP Finance platforms (ECC, S/4 Public & private cloud).
The application manager will work with their team on all functional and technological aspects related to the aforementioned solutions across the entire scope of IT activities (maintenance, upgrades, and projects of all sizes). The position plays a central role in the organization of the Corporate Applications scope due to the critical nature of accounting data and its exposure to business management.
This work will be carried out in conjunction with the FiPP team domain manager, business process owners, and the group's finance and IT departments.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As an application manager, your main activities will be as follows:
Supervising functional and technical teams and managing delivery capacity
Maintaining the consistency of the core model
Defining the functional and technical architecture
Defining the technology roadmap, development methods, and standards
Managing the execution of the backlog established with process owners and domain managers (capacity, arbitration, monitoring, etc.)
Monitoring, with our partners, the health of applications (stability, availability, incident log, etc.)
Managing the production schedule for fixes and upgrades
Coordinating with the domain manager for project activities
Managing relationships with partners involved in application-related activities (publishers, integrators, etc.)
Coordinating cross-functional IT activities (architecture, security, data, etc.)
Establishing the budget with transformation/business domain managers and monitoring its execution
Coordinating with other application managers in the connected application landscape or dependent on the SAP Finance scope
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum 5 years' experience
Management experience required
In-depth knowledge of SAP finance applications
Proficiency in accounting and/or management control
Comfortable with highly complex functional environments and high transaction volumes
Ability to manage the schedules of several initiatives (projects, developments, maintenance, etc.) in parallel
Experience in international management/service centers
Experience in leadership roles within major transformation programs and project management
