Assistant Quality Officer Position
Reporting directly to the Quality Officer, the Assistant Quality Officer plays a supporting role in ensuring the company's compliance with quality and food safety standards. This position involves assisting in the implementation of quality procedures, following directives from the manager, monitoring compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities :
Under the supervision and guidance of the Quality Officer, the Assistant Quality Officer will:
- Apply internal quality procedures in line with HACCP standards.
- Support the Quality Officer in preparing for and coordinating external audits for suppliers and customers.
- Follow directives to assess and maintain quality standards across products and business activities.
- Track and report non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are implemented as directed.
- Participate in internal and process audits, conduct shop-floor inspections, and report findings to the Quality Officer.
- Support quality checks related to goods-in inspections and finished product control, following instructions from the manager.
- Gather and organize data to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in implementing enhancements to working practices based on the manager’s guidelines.
- Help coordinate training activities to meet quality standards, ensuring records are updated.
- Follow company health & safety and quality regulations at all times.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with industry regulations, supporting preparations for certification and regulatory audits.
- Follow the established Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, ensuring adherence to food safety protocols.
- Help manage and update the site's Quality Management System (Team Pulse) as per the Quality Officer’s directives.
Required Personal Attributes:
- Diploma in food engineering or biotechnology with HACCP knowledge or equivalent experience.
- Computer Skills, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Must be customer-focused.
- Good organizational skills.
- Capable of working autonomously while closely following instructions from the Quality Officer.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing tasks and have the ability to get things done.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is MANDATORY.
