A Sportswear brand is looking for an energetic, customer-focused, and marketing-savvy Customer Support Assistant to join our retail store team in Calais, France. This role is based within our shop, serving as the first point of contact for customers while also supporting in-store marketing and promotional activities. The position involves actively driving in-store sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for customer engagement, and the ability to promote our products effectively to enhance the overall retail experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in-store, ensuring a positive and professional shopping experience.
- Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, email, or live chat.
- Handle customer concerns or escalate issues to the relevant department promptly.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update our CRM system.
- Support in-store marketing activities, including product displays, promotional campaigns, and special events.
- Actively promote and sell products to meet sales targets.
- Assist in gathering customer feedback to improve service and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute store-level promotions and brand awareness initiatives.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, pricing, and promotions to effectively engage with customers.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of customer service or retail sales experience (retail sector preferred).
- Educational background or practical experience in marketing is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (required).
- Conversational or fluent French (preferred).
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and customer engagement strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proactive, customer-oriented, and results-driven attitude.
