About the role
We’re looking for a curious and driven Data Science Intern to join our team for your end of year internship. You’ll dive into real R&D projects at the intersection of AI and medical imaging, working alongside experienced engineers. This is a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge applications of deep learning in healthcare while contributing to impactful projects that may lead to scientific publications.
This role is based in Lyon, France and will require you to provide a Convention de Stage.
What you'll do
- Collaborate on 2–3 mid-term projects such as diffusion MRI denoising, super-resolution, or synthetic image generation
- Support the setup and configuration of installation hardware (MacMinis, Tinypilots)
- Contribute to model development, experimentation, and code reviews
- Participate in R&D meetings and discussions, bringing ideas to the table
What we are looking for
- Must Have:
- Strong knowledge of Python, Git, and GitHub
- Solid foundation in deep learning and image processing
- Interest in publishing research and exploring innovative solutions
- Willingness to contribute to IT-related topics (e.g. hardware, software tools)
- Ability to work in an international and English-first environment
- Nice to have:
- Experience in a SaaS startup
- Experience in the veterinary industry
- Familiarity with DICOM, medical imaging workflows, or clinical environments
