The mission of this role
We are searching for a Packaging Engineer to join our Texen Beauty Partners team in Paris. In this position you will ensure the technical design fits the client expectations by creating the design, evaluating the manufacturing feasibility and the different material options and characteristics.
You will also work on the competitiveness by developing new technologies, production processes and materials. Also, to contribute to the reduction of the environmental impact of our processes and upgrading the scientific technical and material knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Definition
- Propose new technical designs adapted to the client needs.
- Ensure the technical feasibility, effectiveness, capacity, timing and commercial viability of all Packaging Projects.
- Manage coordination of the industrialization process and technical delivery of Packaging Projects.
- Liaise with customers/suppliers to determine test protocols and procedures for Packaging Projects.
- Technical support:
- Supports internal and externally existing products and materials developed.
- Supports sales area in technical visits to clients
- Supports S&S area in the quotations and technical discussions with suppliers
- Supports Market area during concept and idea stages evaluating the technical feasibility.
- Analyses Non Conformities and proposes solutions for product improvement.
- Is the Project leader in specific complex projects (Material, product, technologies, industrial processes)
- Guarantees the technical development into the project team. Promotes process improvements internal and externally.
- Support Business Development in enquiry, briefing, and quotation processes.
Requirements
- Product Engineer or Material Engineer University Degree.
- Experience in the packaging or beauty industry in a similar position.
- Excellent technical knowledge of packaging development and production.
- Ability to read and draw technical drawings.
- Advanced user level of IT applications (including Solid works or similar tools)
- Advanced English level
- Knowledge of make-up, skin care or fragrance formulas is preferable.
