Job Description
An Associate Research Director oversees various accounts and multiple projects and brings technical expertise to the research team, while developing a team of Research Managers.
Responsibilities:
1. Client Management:
Responsible for a few accounts in the cluster and the business development
2. Project Management:
a. Complex Proposals and Tenders
b. Actively supervising the Research managers
c. Bringing their technical expertise and best practices
d. Workload Management
e. Ensuring that the Research Managers are properly trained and coached
3. Strategy:
Strategic recommendations based on client's feedback, market trends and operational performance
4. Revenue:
a. Ensure targets for the accounts are met
b. Develop proactive plans to address potential risks and opportunities of their accounts
5. People:
a. Manages a minimum of two Research Managers
b. Mentor teams in research skills and their career development
c. Ensuring that the output from team members maintains a high standard as expected
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of higher education with knowledge in market research and/or sensory research
- Knowledge of food and/or cosmetic products, quantitative consumer research methodologies, sensory methodologies and statistics.
- Significant experience in a Research manager role at SAM or in other companies
- Experience in leading and mentoring research teams
- Skills in managing budgets
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Strong leadership abilities to manage teams and oversee large-scale research initiatives
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
