Technical Referent Manual Flight Control laws (f/m)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Technical Referent Manual Flight Control laws (f/m) to join our Flight Control Laws Department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team of 15 people working on manual and auto pilot flight control laws., covering all Airbus aircraft.

A long term multi-disciplinary development could be proposed in the Flight controls domain to handling qualities, systems computers and actuators.

Your challenges:

• Preliminary design up to certification.

• Detailed specification using formal specification tools (SAO/SCADE/SQUID), while being responsible for the delivery in time, quality and performance of your design integrated in the flight control system.

• Present and justify your design, its performance and limitations in front of the flight tests engineers and flight test pilots, and support them during flight tests and simulator sessions.

• Validation and verification activities and their recording.

• Follow in-service events, reported by the customer support or directly by the pilots, contributing to a key part of the continuous Airworthiness activities.

• Referent for a programme on manual control laws ensuring consistency and adequate technical development of all the team.

Your boarding pass:

• Automatic control or Flight Physic and dynamics background with experience in engineering systems.

• Knowledge in Control simulation tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink) would be a strong advantage.

• Capability to mentor newcomers and team members.

• Ability to interface with many different stakeholders, from different domains, different functions, and different countries.

• Negotiation level of English mandatory (French would be a plus).

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
