We are currently seeking talented researchers with experience to join our Paris sites and work with us on extending frontier agentic models through Reinforcement Learning. The chosen candidate(s) will work with a broad and highly interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners, and will have access to cutting edge technology, important resources, and research facilities.AI Research Scientist Responsibilities
- Work on research projects, strategies, and problems of moderate to high complexity and scope
- Influence progress of relevant research communities by producing publications
- Establish connection with cross-functional partners and contribute research with the goal of applying to Meta's product development
- Lead and collaborate on research projects within a team
- Design policies, processes, procedures, methods, tests, and/or components, from the ground up for end-to-end systems
- Apply in-depth knowledge of how the machine learning system interacts with the other systems around it
- Ph.D. and publications in machine learning, AI, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or related technical fields
- Experience holding a faculty, industry, or government researcher position
- Proven track record of consistent publication/citation history
- Experience in applying research to production problems
- Experience communicating research for public audiences of peers
- Experience in developing and debugging in Python, C/C++, or C#
- High-impact publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g. *ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR), as witnessed by citations and other signs of influencing the research community
- Experience in developing and debugging beyond ML experimentation
- Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and broad points of view to determine a path forward
