Your Role
As a HR Intern at Gensler, you will join our creative studio environment for a full-time, paid internship opportunity.
What You Will Do
- Respond to employee queries on all areas of HR, escalating where appropriate Process various employee transactions; status changes, transfers, terminations, etc.
- Perform customer service functions by answering phones, providing basic information as needed on all areas of Human Resources.
- Order employee gifts related to service anniversary dates, new hires, re-hires, life events and illnesses.
- Process and track leaves of absence.
- Tracking employee evaluation and development reviews.
- Advise on basic immigration issues and Assist with coordination of new employee orientation including paperwork, benefits packet, internal notifications, orientation schedule and act as orientation backup.
- Ccoordinate immigration/work visa process as related to employee transfers and new hires.
- Working with the Recruitment Coordinator, manage the administration of the recruitment process
- Process invoices for approval and payment to vendors.
- Process mail, makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
- Assist with HR Projects and additional tasks as required Other responsibilities and special projects as may be assigned from time to time.
Your Qualifications
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
- Excellent organisational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to work under pressure s.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook email
- Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Appropriate HR Certificate or working towards attainment desirable. Knowledge of Workday (HRIS) and Taleo (recruiting software) an advantage
- Fluent in English & French
