The role: Polymer ScientistResponsibilities
As the Polymer Scientist at Synboli, you will:
- Design and develop novel polymers using various polymerization techniques under the guidance of senior team members.
- Conduct polymer synthesis and characterization using advanced techniques such as GPC, DSC, FTIR, and NMR.
- Work collaboratively with laboratory technicians and engineers to perform experimental work and optimize processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI specialists, to support the polymer discovery process.
- Present results and engage discussions with customers, in collaboration with the sales team.
- Optimize synthesis methods for scalability and reproducibility in production settings.
- Contribute to the development of high-throughput synthesis and screening methods.
Qualifications
- PhD in Polymer Chemistry from leading institutions and laboratories.
- Research experience in various polymerization techniques.
- Strong foundation in polymer characterization methods.
Skills
- Proficiency in at least two polymerization techniques, with a focus on radical polymerization.
- Hands-on experience with analytical tools for polymers, such as SEC, NMR, DSC, TGA, and FTIR.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills for tackling complex experimental challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary collaborators.
- Enthusiasm for innovation and the discovery of new materials.
